Baidu Adds “AI Traffic Analysis” to Its Webmaster Tools

Baidu has added an “AI Traffic Analysis” (AI流量分析) section to Baidu Search Resource Platform, its webmaster tools. According to an announcement in the platform’s message center dated September 16, 2026, the report will show how often a site’s content is cited in Baidu’s AI answers and how users interact with those citations.

The report includes four core metrics: AI citations (how often site pages are cited in AI answers), AI impressions (how often users see the link to a cited page), AI clicks, and AI CTR. It also offers citation trends, cited-page counts, and tables of top keywords and top pages, sorted by clicks and capped at the top 50,000.

A few limitations apply. The data covers only AI answers within Baidu’s traditional search results, not other Chinese AI platforms such as Doubao, DeepSeek, or Qwen. Data is updated daily for the previous day and may be delayed. The feature is rolling out in phases, and Baidu says the data service is not yet active, so most dashboards are still empty.

For SEOs working in China, this is the first official source of AI visibility data from a major Chinese search engine. It is worth verifying sites now so they are ready when the data goes live.
