Singlesā Day, also known as Double 11 (11.11), is arguably the biggest shopping festival in the world, far surpassing Black Friday and Cyber Monday in sales. It takes place every year on November 11th (11/11) and was originally started by Alibabaās Tmall in 2009 as a promotional event. Since then, it has expanded into a nationwide e-commerce shopping frenzy, with participation from JD.com, Pinduoduo, Douyin (TikTok China), Xiaohongshu, and more.
