NAVER officially launched its new AI-driven shopping app, NAVER Plus Store, on March 12, 2025.
The app introduces a range of smart features designed to personalize online shopping experiences and support sellers with advanced targeting tools.
AI Commerce at the Core
NAVER Plus Store uses HyperCLOVA X, the company’s proprietary generative AI, to offer tailored product recommendations. The AI looks at user preferences, purchase history, and behavior to show relevant products. This makes it easier for users to find what they want and helps sellers reach potential buyers more effectively.
CEO Choi Soo-yeon stated that the app will expand NAVER’s shopping ecosystem and provide a better experience for both shoppers and merchants.
New Features: AI Shopping Guide and Discovery Tab
Two key features are launching with the app: AI Shopping Guide and Discovery.
The AI Shopping Guide helps users make informed decisions, especially in tech categories. For example, users searching for laptops will get suggestions like “highly portable,” “great for students,” or “optimized for gaming,” based on their needs. This tool will first focus on electronics and will expand to more categories soon.
The Discovery tab offers short-form videos (about 30 seconds each) to showcase trending items. These personalized clips help users explore and buy products quickly and easily.
Big Launch Promotions Begin
To celebrate the launch, NAVER is rolling out a major promotional event starting March 12. First-time users will get a 10% discount coupon (up to KRW 5,000) on purchases over KRW 20,000.
From March 17 to 30, the app will host “NAVER Plus Store Open Week” with participation from over 6,000 partners. Shoppers can access:
- 10% off (up to KRW 3,000) for KRW 20,000+ purchases
- 15% off (up to KRW 8,000) for KRW 50,000+ purchases
Coupons are offered daily at 12:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.
NAVER Plus members can earn up to 15% back on eligible products and enjoy special daily events like:
- App Time Deal: Five products at 50% off at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- One Day Deal: Over 20 discounted products daily
- 99 Deal: Groceries at up to 90% off
NAVER Delivery Upgrade Rolls Out
The launch also marks an upgrade from NAVER Arrival Guarantee to NAVER Delivery. New logistics options include:
- Same-day delivery
- Next-day delivery
- Sunday delivery
- Preferred date delivery
NAVER Plus Membership users now get free shipping, free returns, and free exchanges on orders over KRW 10,000. A 24-hour customer service center is available to handle returns, tracking, and inquiries.
The membership also includes extras like access to Netflix’s ad-supported plan and discounts at GS25 stores. More perks will be added later this year.
