Coc Coc Browser Reports Nearly 10 Billion Website Visits in 2024

Vietnamā€™s homegrown web browser, Coc Coc, recorded nearly 10 billion website visits in 2024. On average, each user visited 67 websites throughout the year.

Social Media and Streaming Dominate Traffic

Coc Coc’s traffic analysis showed that social media accounted for 27.4% of total visits. Video and music streaming followed closely at 23%. Work-related browsing made up 15.4% of the traffic.

News consumption remained strong, with 2.6 billion visits to news websites. The browserā€™s News Feed feature, integrated into its new tab page, contributed 335.8 million of these visits, making up 12.9% of overall traffic.

Trending Searches in 2024

In product searches, Samsung S24 Ultra, iPhone 16, Redmi Note 13, iPhone 15, and MacBook Air M3 were the most popular. Among applications and software, users searched most for Canva, TikTok, Gemini, CapCut, and Scratch.

Interest in cybersecurity and online verification surged. Searches related to biometric authentication increased by 957% compared to 2023. Government regulations also gained attention, with searches on Decree No. 147/2024/ND-CP rising by 35% and social media verification queries increasing by 72%.

Growth in Online Learning

Searches for online learning platforms also saw notable growth. Scratch searches increased by 154%, while Vnedu and IOE searches grew by 73% and 20%, respectively.

These trends highlight the evolving digital landscape in Vietnam, with Coc Coc continuing to be a key player in usersā€™ online experiences.
