Yandex has introduced Yazeka, a new AI-integrated search service explicitly built for Turkish users. The launch marks a shift in how people interact with search engines in Türkiye, focusing on quicker, more innovative, and more intuitive results.
Yazeka is designed to handle complex questions that a single source can’t answer. Instead of showing a long list of links, it delivers clear summaries with reliable citations pulled from multiple websites.
A Smarter Way To Search
With Yazeka, users can type their questions in natural, everyday language. The AI then processes these questions to generate straightforward and accurate answers.
For example, if a user searches for “One-day travel itinerary in Amsterdam,” Yazeka provides a detailed response, not just travel links. It compiles suggestions, schedules, and related content in one place.
Alexander Popovskiy, General Manager of Yandex Search Türkiye, explained the shift during the launch. “We are now in an era when search engines quickly analyze the request and summarize the result,” he said.
Moving Beyond Traditional Search
Yazeka’s goal is to save users time. Instead of clicking through multiple pages, users get immediate summaries and helpful extras—like images, videos, or local business suggestions.
When searching for something like the Turkish dessert “güllaç,” Yazeka goes further than just giving a recipe. It also shows nearby restaurants that serve it, along with visual content to help users make informed choices.
Popovskiy described this as a move from a “search engine” to a “finding engine.” He said Yazeka is part of Yandex’s effort to become a broader ecosystem of services that solve real-world user tasks more deeply.
Turkish Market Focus
Yazeka was explicitly developed for Türkiye. It’s currently available on Android and desktop, with an iOS version coming soon.
Popovskiy emphasized that Turkish users are ready for this innovative search technology. He said it reflects the growing demand for faster, more efficient digital tools that reduce the need to sift through traditional search results.
By combining AI with a user-friendly experience, Yazeka shows how search tools can evolve to meet modern expectations.
