Yandex has officially registered the trademark “Yandex Kit” for 14 different classes of goods and services, according to information from Rospatent. The registration took place in mid-May 2025.

Although the name “Yandex Kit” was previously used for a mobile operating system launched in 2014 and closed a year later, the company clarified that this new registration is unrelated to that earlier project.

A Yandex representative confirmed that the new trademark is linked to a future product—a SaaS platform designed to help businesses launch turnkey e-commerce operations quickly and efficiently.

The planned platform aims to offer a complete solution for entrepreneurs. It will include tools for store promotion, customer acquisition, logistics, payments, and installment services. The platform will feature industry-specific UX templates already optimized for organic traffic and advertising.

According to Yandex, the platform will integrate both its own services and partner solutions. For example, logistics could be handled through collaborations with companies like SDEK.

This new offering appears to be Yandex’s response to platforms like Shopify. It was first reported by Vedomosti in March 2025 that Yandex was working on a small business-focused e-commerce constructor. The idea is to enable the creation of independent online stores with minimal setup time and technical knowledge.

While further details about the product launch timeline remain undisclosed, the registration of “Yandex Kit” signals Yandex’s ongoing expansion into the e-commerce infrastructure market.
