Yandex has introduced its new neural network, YandexGPT 5 Pro, into Alice’s chat function and Yandex Cloud. This advanced language model enhances personal, educational, and professional tasks. International tests show that YandexGPT 5 Pro matches or even surpasses foreign models in some areas.
Improved Capabilities in Alice
Alice now benefits from significant upgrades with YandexGPT 5 Pro. The assistant can generate code, solve logical problems, and improve text processing. It also provides clearer summaries and more relevant search results for Russian users.
Alice Pro now supports English, making it useful for language learners and professionals. Users can request essays, titles, or other text-based tasks in English.
The model is available in the Alice app chat, on alice.yandex.ru, in the Yandex with Alice app, and through Yandex Browser on both desktop and mobile devices. It is also accessible on smart devices.
YandexGPT 5 Pro in Yandex Cloud
Yandex has integrated its latest language model into Yandex Cloud, allowing businesses to automate processes. Companies can use it to enhance customer service by analyzing dialogues, categorizing support requests, and generating corporate summaries.
Test results indicate that YandexGPT 5 Pro closely matches GPT-4o. It outperforms the Qwen2.5 model in factual accuracy and format adherence, though it lags slightly in mathematical tasks.
Increased Free Access and Open-Source Version
To encourage users to try Alice Pro and YandexGPT 5 Pro, Yandex has temporarily increased the daily free request limit from 5 to 20. Subscribers to the Pro version have unlimited access.
For the first time in years, Yandex has also released an open-source version of a language model. YandexGPT 5 Lite provides a basic option for developers who want to train AI for specific instructions.
Vitaly Danilkin, head of Alice Pro, confirmed that more models will be introduced soon. The company is also working on improving Alice’s reasoning abilities.
In December 2024, Yandex integrated YandexGPT 4 into Alice and later expanded its use to the Documents service. With the latest upgrades, Yandex continues to advance its AI-powered solutions.
